I recently took a punt, and bought a fairly cheap Brabus. I put a post up on the Facebook page about it, but then thought to start a thread here â€"frankly, this forum is gold, and I sincerely appreciate that it exists.

So, I've owned a Brabus before, back in 2017-2018 or so. That one was a fairly low mileage example.

This one... has just about worn in, at 155K 💪 😃

And, I want to take good care of her, and restore what I can with ~zero mechanical or bodywork knowledge. Hmm.

In any case, I'll "blog" about the journey here, if that's cool.

My first task is to get the cam belt done.

I have a local mechanic who is awesome, so I'll have a chat with him. However, I do appreciate that familiarity with this engine would be an advantage.

Back in 2017-18, there was a Smart independent garage fairly near me, in Shepton Mallet. But, they appear to have closed. Which is a shame.

More to follow...

Good to have you back on the forum....

Shepton Mallet independant closed down !  That was Smart Sport !
And on Google it says 'permanently closed'.....sad news...I knew Katie quite well.

ANyway, re your Brab cam belt...if your local mechanic has ever worked on a
Colt CZT, then it is exactly the same set up/engine/transmission....just a few
minor differences in reality. (Yes, l know l could expand on that, but l won't
as there are enough posts etc on here that will explain/talk about that)

As for posting up your "blog"/journey with your Brabus....please would you
do so under the 'Show us your Mod's' section...with details AND pictures please.

Cheers, G
