Well, there are 2 manufacturers that i know that do forfour clutches, Sachs and Luk. Either one is fine, sachs is a bit more expensive and perhaps a bit better quality. You should be able to find both for under 450punds.

 Around here, Sachs complete clutch kit is 250 pounds, that's clutch+pressure plate+bearing. And just the clutch disk alone is 100 GBP. So i would say search for better prices.

I'm pretty sure a Mitsubishi colt clutch should also fit :)

Where are you based as someone may be able to recommend a local place that won't rip you off.

What makes you think the clutch needs replacing??

If you can make it as far as Grays (in Hanwell in presume), or a garage in Richmond, and you are around the isleworth area
then I would suggest having a word with S2smarts...who are based between Rickmansworth and Watford.
Call and get a quote...  www.S2smarts.co.uk  and they have a courtesy car you could borrow if needs be. Give them a bell
and tell them I referred you.

Also if I get a new clutch will it sort the "O" problem when reversing. I have read previous comments and moving it swiftly usually works but sometimes I get stuck and have had to open my door stick my leg out and push the car back, not good!

I don't think you have clutch problems. You have the dirty TVA (throttle valve actuator) symptom, no power, no revs etc. If the clutch was gone, then the car would rev but would not accelerate (second gear, 30km/h foot hard down, the revs rise but the car doesn't pick up speed)

After you clean the TVA, take the clutch actuator off and clean it and grease it. There are tutorials on here for both jobs, well documented, and both tasks are do-able with minimal tools. So take a look in the Technical tutorials, borrow or buy the appropriate tools and get to it ;D

These garages you've been to are just trying to rip you off !

Yup - doesn't sound like clutch to me :(

Get down to s2smarts and get a proper assessment if i were you! They are v v v friendly.

TVA seems to be the only real issues people are suffering with the engine.

Not sure about the '0' on the display though

The 'O' (as far as i know) isn't to do with the clutch. It's to do with the actuator or software, smart can update your software and will solve some issues, if not all. As for the actuator get yourself to smart or a local indy (like Mr. G suggests) and have your clutch re-taught, this may solve the issue although resets your driving as does having the update.

I believe the garages are fobbing you off and clutching at straws - ideally you need to go to a gearbox specialist.
