how about in 2 years time for the next comic relief .. we do a sponsored Circuits of the M25 ?
how long would it take to go round once - anybody know ? or shall i re phrase that due to traffic ... how long is a circuit ?

Lots of events and of course, those of the group who felt the need could always do a RWYB. I wouldn't want to drag Fox, but some might like it.

It's 117 miles around the 25 clockwise so 70 mph (nite time) say 1:30hrs plus after 10:00 pm the dartford crossing is free ( always one for a bargain) would be fun but with road works limited to 50mph average speed cams allow 2:00 hours

I know it was mentioned for charity but having lived well within the M25 for most of my life....and using the motorway twice a week, I cannot discourage people enough from using it unnecessarily- I know it's been suggested to drive around it at night but as Litefin says there are 50mph restrictions, plus the length of time it does take and the petrol costs...I feel it isn't feasible.

It's certainly not fair for those that have a long drive to the M25- they will be exhausted by the time the run is over and they still have to get home.

I will not be taking part in this option but certainly do welcome the idea of going to France for the day or something that is easy for most of us to get to.

We have the Smart Festival coming up in September and the Ace Cafe meet in October which are two brilliant opportunities to talk about a further meet in the future ;)

M25 Idea I practically live on it (well work on it) Ive never been south of J13 on it though so id like to do that 10pm on a week night would be fast... apart from the 50 zones but id be up for that!

My opinion is no to driving around the M25.

If I wanted to sit in a box on my a*s and suffer for two hours with nothing to do but listen to music, I'd lock myself in a small room, strap myself to an office chair and put on a looping track of Rebecca Black.

If the chair had wheels, I'd move faster around the room than I could ever do on the M25.

10pm theres nothing on it... Only between 21a to 23 (my section of work) And Jct 29 for two junctions...

Anyway yeah we dont have to drive round the m25 theres a fair few back roads round st albans etc, Do some night driving on 60 roads :)

As long as there was a meet I wouldnt be bothered :)
