1.3 Pulse ForFour disabling front passenger air bag

Hello folks,

Hope you're all enjoying this glorious weather  8)

Anybody know how to disable the front passenger air bag on a 454? We have a new little addition to the family and would like to use the baby seat at the front....

If you open the passenger side door and look at the edge of the dashboard, there is a slot (rather much like an ignition slot) to disable the airbag with your key. You'll be reminded of this when you start the car as a light will show on the gear stick cover.

Thank you so much.

We have a second car - a Merc C class... Mercedes want me to buy a compete baby car seat from them for £400+ that has an in built transponder that de activates the airbags.

Good ol' ForFour to the rescue.
