Best bang for buck

So what mods should I do first and what order? I want to make 225bhp think that should be enough for a daily. Currently have k&n induction kit boost pipes that's it!
I read a list and it's mentioned the fuel pump, is that actually needed??

No, fuel pump is not necessarily needed on standard injectors but doesn't hurt to do. Stock Injectors will be maxed before fuel pump.
Exhaust, manifold, Intercooler and a map should be all you need.

Can these be decatted without overboosting? I say this because I do all the work on my own cars. Tony is around 150mile away..
Also the size of the intercooler I'd prefer to keep stock location what's the biggest size that can be used?

As far as i'm aware there's no boost issues after decat.
Nobody has fitted an uprated SMIC in the stock location, so do tell us what works if you choose to do it. Space is tight there though so probably not room for anything much bigger than stock.

Deeper doesn't really gain cooling effiency it really aids flow only. Surface area is better although maybe a little meth wouldn't go a miss hmm decisions now. Has anybody made a fmic kit for these?

I've seen the fmic on one of the build threads it just seems that it nots the most direct route as such it would be giving extra lag I would have thought unless changing to a bigger turbo. What's the best method to free up some flow on the exhaust side ive read that the back box and cats are. Also do these turbos suffer with bad seals?

yeah - down pipe and then custom system (i have sports cat for ease)
lag is the reason i've not gone down the FMIC route yet

Can always fit it like S2 smarts have. As long as you don't mind cutting a fair bit of bumper away.

That's too much silicone for my liking unless that's painted? I try to minimise the joints as much as possible less chance of a boost leak. The only problem with silicone is that if it touches anything it tends to wear through very quick you only need a pin hole for it to affect your afr's and boost levels. Mine on the MPs I have now fully welded the pipes in situe apart from four places which are now wiggins clamps. The mushroom air intake is in a negative vac point so wouldn't be much use either

Ah sorry was thinking of my other car. I forgot there was fog lights right in front. On mine due to where the wheel is to where that filter is the air is actually being drawn away from that. When I was tuning mine I put the filter in various positions to try and get the best iat's I was losing 20-25g/s of airflow just by routing it there

It's on the front. It's a 600x300x125mm treadstone core good for 1000bhp.

How about splitting the IC to 2 separate units! Would be quite novel lol Intercooler does require quite a bit of work so not sure can be classed as bang for buck. A decat and an induciton kit would be cheap and cheerful options that would do well. Not sure how much more power then a stand alone remap tho
