So i've got myself a forfour.
2006 1.1 Passion manual, with a sprinkling of BRABUS niceties like steering wheel, gearknob and grille. It also has the basic navigator head unit, sound upgrade, trip computer, multifunction wheel, 5 seats, arm rest. It's done a lot of miles but has a long MOT and didn't cost me a lot.
I've got a list of things i'd like to do with it, but i'm going to do my best and run it as cheaply as possible - forfour bangernomics!
My to do list:
- Get the nav working or put in a radio 6
- Replace the alternator belt and check to see why something on that side is a bit whiny.
- Tidy the wiper arms and check the linkages for wear (arm seems to be twisted too)
- Replace the passenger door speaker (blown)
- See what I can do about the matt black arches, stone blasted! And try to polish all the scratches
- Get some stuff to turn the headlight lenses from yellow to clear again
- Tidy the wheels (new nuts on order) and ditch the cheapo rear tyres
- Fix the highlevel brake light bulbs (some are a bit intermittent apparently)
- Work out if it's running cool - 82c max temp so far, i'd have expected a bit more
(There will be more i'm sure)
