Simply Smart at Beaulieu
Hi Guys
Just to let you know Beaulieu will be holding its annual Simply Smart Event
on Sunday 10th November at Beaulieu, home of the National Motor Museum.
Ticket prices are £10.00 per adult and £5.00 per child (under 5's are free)
and this will allow you to display your vehicle in the complex and access the
museum and all of the attractions at Beaulieu.

We are going to this, all booked up and staying just down the road
(Stoney Cross Travel lodge) on the Saturday night, my wife will be
bringing her Forfour, and I will be bringing the Roadster 
see you there.

This event looks great ! Might have a Brab by then, if not I'll see if I can
persuade the mrs for us to come down in her 1.1 passion (probably better
on fuel given the distance !  )

Good idea.....and I've been looking on Google Maps...

Immediately you turn off the A35 (Southampton Road) and into/onto
the B3056 (Beaulieu Road) you enter The New Forest, and you go over a
cattle grid, and on your immediate left and right are turn offs to parking
spaces ! !
OR.....
About halfway down the B3056 to Beaulieu is Beaulieu Station, and about
50yds past that to the right is The Drift Inn that has a car park. Yes it should
be for patron's only, but we'll not be stopping for long...(it's a bit early for
a drink...right !  Don't drink n drive)

So...it's decision time for those who want to do this n tube the final stretch....
Option A: As you come off the A35 and enter The New Forest...
Option B: The Drift Inn...1/2 way down the B3056
Option C: Any better location/meet any of you can come up with

Next, you need to agree a time to meet up that suits as many as possibe.
Option 1: 09:30am (this may well be way to early or those travelling a distance)
Option 2: 10am
Option 3: 10:30am
Option 4: 11am

Hi Everyone,
Great to see such a good response about the Event, looking forward to seeing many Smart cars here at Beaulieu !
Just a few details about the event for you - Entry for Smart Cars is from 9.30am
and there will be the customary 2 minutes silence held at 11am to mark
Remembrance Sunday. There will be a presentation for the Smart Car voted
the best in show the People's Choice Award followed by a cavalcade around
the complex at approx. 1.30pm.

TUBE meeting point & time - Agreement ?
Why a TUBE ?  Cos there are no allocated parking spaces at the venue...
so it would be nice to get the ForFours together, rather than spread out
higglety pigglety amongst the other Smarts.

Meet time :- 10am
Where  :- Lyndhurst...
As you come off the A35 (Southampton Road) and turn onto
the B3056 (Beaulieu Road) you cross over a cattle grid....
there are parking spaces immediately on the
left and right side of the road.
(Have a look on Google maps....then zoom in & you will see
  via Google Earth camera pictures what and where I mean)

THATS ALL I COULD RETRIEVE FROM THE BACKUP I TOOK ON 26Oct.

It really was a fabulous day....everyone appeared to enjoy themselves.
I even managed to get a few words in edgeways between Brabs
talkng to all n sundry.....hahaha.   No, really, it was good....and great
to see everyone.
In the end we had 11 ForFour's that turned up (by 1pm)....2 of which
were not even members of the forum...but soon will be..hehehe.
And of those who didn't manage to make it....
You missed a really good day and turn out.  twas a shame you couldn't
make it for whatever reasons.

Now come on [i[Brabs[/i]...re-post your pictures....if you please
