.....I assume the rating is considered according to the softness of the compound?
There are 3 ratings...the third is noise in db (decibels), the second is
wet weather capability, and the first is 'efficiency'....not grip, but how
much resistance...as in drag co-efficient.
That is why I would go for a E, F, or G rated tyre....why...well if you
go onto
www.blackcircles.com and put your tyre sizes in, all the
big name/well know companies for performance tyres all come out
around the F rating. So...if you go for a B or C rated tyre you know
for sure that though it will give you good mileage it won't give you
anywhere near as much grip as Toyo's, Pirelli's, Falken's or even Pilot's.
Everyone has there own priorities though, so will choose what suits
their own criteria, be it mileage, grip, cost, or a combination of all
of those.
