Indeed. The thing with the meets and members is we are in varied parts if the country. Didn't someone suggest a track day at some point, that would be good fun

Though members are spread about up n down the country it still appears
that arranging even an area meets gets very little if any response.
This is possibly down to no one individual wanting to take on the responsibilty
of organising and arranging it.  Witness that some; if not many; will turn up
for an event (like Beaulieu) that was set up by another group.

The track day event you mentioned was a brilliant idea, yet the response or
commitment by members to attend was as near as dammit nil !
It wasn't as if we excepted people to 'race' there cars around the track;
though you could if you wanted; but more to enjoy a 'drive' around a circuit.

Anyway...enough from me on this.
What comments if any does anyone else have to make or suggest ?

Well, I'm with you 100% G. For me the forfour is vehicle (in 2 ways) for meeting up with like minded folk from a variety of areas, backgrounds etc who share a common interest/passion i.e. the smart forfour. I completely understand that many/most people have financial and time constraints, which is why I thought that planning an event now, for sometime a way in the future would give people time to plan and budget both the money and the time. And this upcoming 10th anniversary is IMHO a significant and special one. Anyway, that's my two penneth.

 :)

Even if I commit 9 months in advance, it's low priority to the missus so weddings, holidays, family meals, birthday parties etc all get higher priority ;)

The grief I get for being online so much is bad enough ;)
