Switching off the Service Interval Display
« on: May 29, 2012, 02:11:59 PM »

Hello,

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather nowadays!

I've got a question related to my Service Interval Display which keeps popping up when I start the car. It all started when I was trying to adjust the time and pressed the wrong button (the left one). Now, it just keeps popping up and increases by 1 everyday (Today, it displayed '-30'). Does anybody know how do I can reset this and stop make it appear? I think I read on one of the threads to switch the engine off and on whilst pressing the left button twice until you hear a beep. However, this does not seem to happen for me :(

Any advice??

Thanks,

JYA

You did not click anything by accident. It tells you that you have 30 days until the service is due. It was just a coincidence that it popped up when you were fiddling with the buttons.

Ignition ON, double click and keep pressing on the button that cycles through outside temp, trip and service interval, ignition OFF, ignition ON. This all needs to happen very quick and smooth, so ON DOUBLE CLICK OFF ON. Until you hear the beep you do not let go of the button after the second click. Keep it pressed.

As above.

This is just time until next service and nothing you have done will have provoked it.

The only way to clear it is to get the car serviced.

As per the wise words of Big Dunc....
You've done nothing wrong....you  cannot trigger the service interval indicator to come on
no matter how many buttons you press or how many times.

SO...you have 30 days till your next service is due.....end of story.
If you reset the the indicator as described you'll be doing no one any favours....
just tempting providence for something to go wrong and cost money to fix ! !
