Yesterday I was on a road trip towards Duisburg in Germany to collect some wheels for my fathers car.  Had some fun on the Autobahn, which resulted in having to stop earlier at a petrol station  on my way back home.

You may call it coincidence or not, but due to some road works I wasn't able to take the same route towards home.  My GPS first send me in the wrong direction as I had it still set on the same route  .  So after 10 min of getting frustrated, I ended up changing my route to get round the road works.  Didn't think about driving by the birthplace at Born in the Netherlands (VDL NedCar). But by luck I had chosen a petrol station whilst driving that directed me to the exit towards the NedCar facility  .

So here are some pictures I took with my phone whilst stopping by at the parking lot.
In case  you are wondering this is my Brabus caught on picture at last  .

Ha ha ha...interesting to see how the Mini on the display stands
is no longer a 'Mini' but more a fat Maxi sized hippopotamus !
Just look at the size of it next to the BMW X1/X3 alongside it.
And it still only just about has the same room inside as our 454.

I was in Warnemunde and Rostock in Germany a few days ago and did not see one W 454.Have they all disappeared into scrap yards there?

I just wanted to post my own photos of the place. Did you notice the spa next to the gas station? We went there for a weekend and I took a shot of the 44 on the parking place overlooking the factory. I also live not far from there (Krefeld).

And 454s are plenty to see in my neck of the woods die to the fact factory is here.

We just came to the nearby spa hotel until tomorrow. Nedcar is seen from the parking place. Oh and in hotel I can log into nedcar wlan too
