Anyone interested in going to this? Wessex Smarts and Invicta Smart Club, have joined forces to organise a great Smart Car day out at the Brooklands Museum, situated just off the M25 in Surrey. This event will allow us to take our Smarts into the grounds of the museum, exclusive parking where we can show our cars, catch up with friends. In addition to all the exhibits at Brooklands like Concord, the museum is also situated next door to Mercedes Benz World, which is free to visit, the entry to the Brooklands Museum with your car will be the standard entry fee per person. BTW I don’t think there are any Forfours going let alone MK1 lol

9582djk, can you advise or confirm if Wessex Smarts + Invicta Smart Club
have not got a special entrance rate? Be nice to 'get in on it' if they have...
or if they'll be paying the full whack admission fee ?
It's a bit expensive if you just want to use this as a meeting place, so...
I strongly suggest you get your monies worth and visit the Museum, ok.
I might make it, as I have no 'racing' commitments with S2 this weekend.
Anyone else possibly thinking of 'gate crashing' this event and showing
everyone that the ForFour is very much part of the Smart fraternity ?
Notes:-
ASSISTANCE DOGS ONLY ARE ADMITTED ON SITE - please do not try
to bring other animals to the Museum as we are a NO DOGS SITE and
they will be refused admission.
Admission onto the Museum site is only granted to children and young
people aged 16 and under if they are accompanied by an adult.
Tickets for the Concorde Experience and 4D Theatre can be purchased
directly from the Museum on the day of your visit. Should you wish to
book the Concorde Experience in advance please contact us on 01932 857381.

Weather forecast doesn't look too bad...sunny in the morning
clouding later...but no rain....or so they say.
I think I'll be there...but I'm humming and harring a bit as to which car ???
Today I washed and vacuumed my 451, then it rained before I had a
chance to get to give my Brab 454 the same treatment !
It's a bit of a mess and not something I'd like to turn up in at a Smart
meet where there'll be other spotless and better prepared non-454's.
(considering my 'position' on here I'll be really embarressed ).

Where do I begin about today's event? I'm glad I went had a good laugh with Crazy G and Cecil even though as per usual the Forfour crowd get outcast lol. It was only us three with the Mk1 and three Mk2.
Good little venue next time we need to get more of us attending. Graham it turns out Fudge was there and he won best kept why are not surprised.

Word is that Fudge no longer does Smarts himself....
he's taken himself out of the market...but his business has
I presume/assume been taken over by the partner that he had.
And yeah...typical that a Gen.1 454 never wins anything....
That in itself is down to the poor showing/numbers of 454's
at ANY Smart events...they're always 'swamped' with
450/451 ForTwo's and 452 Roadies and the odd Crossblades.
The only way to change that is 454's to turn up in numbers,
but to be honest that'll never happen...least not since I led a
line of 25 of them into a SmartFestival at MB World Brooklands
with lights ablaze and all of our horns honking.....
now THAT did get us noticed, really noticed, and talked about,
and even mentioned in The SmartClub Mag.
But enough remenissing.... here's the only shot I took of

Excuses I know, but I too would have enjoyed going. However it’s just too far, having attended Ace Café last weekend. Glad to see that a trio of forfours held up our end. Well done. I did enjoy the smartfest events and was very sorry when they ended. ;)
