Start time - 11:00am
End time - 4:00pm
Parking can be tight...as the meet is shared with ForTwo's and Roadsters.
If you don't intend staying till near the end, then make sure you tell the 'marshalls'
so that they can park you where you can get out easily or without too much hassle.
It's also the same 'recipe' as previous Smart meets at the Café....
Do not bring your own food or drinks...
that is part of the agreement with the management to use this venue....besides...
the food they have available is 'to die for'....and ALL the food and drinks are great
and very reasonably priced ! (Seriously)
Just try the Chilli 'n' cheese on chips to see what I mean....
They also do real steak beef burgers and normal steaks etc etc.
There's no horse meat here...the biker boys would string the owners up if they tried ! !
It's all real good tasty food, with prices that make it hard to choose what meal or dish
it is going to be that you will eventually get ya teeth into or gums round !
Please don't expect a massive venue, ok. It's small....but friendly....like a 'local' pub
meet in fact. Bu tthe food and the nostalgia make up for anything lacking. Just check the
weather forecast before you make the run down to this event, as it's a bit late in the year,
so unless it's a calm, clear, dry, and not too cold a day then it'll be ok.
Otherwise, avoid it like the plague.

Ace Corner is the junction of Beresford Avenue and the old North Circular Road,
between the A40 and the A404 (Harrow Road).
By Road Travelling anti-clockwise on the North Circular Road:
Take the second exit - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights
at Brentfields Road (where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds).
Turn right, then right again onto the old North Circular Road.
The Ace is 100 yards on the left.
Travelling clockwise on the North Circular Road:
Take the first exit after Hanger Lane - signposted for Park Royal -
turn left at the traffic lights immediately right onto the old North
Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left.

So....who is thinking of attending this ?
Personally, I am in two minds....do I attend this as well as Beaulieu the next day, or not ? :-\
I think the weather may be the deciding factor....or if I have to do the laundry ? ???
(so that I have clothes to wear for the next week !) :-[

Not entirely sure about it yet, I agree it's going to be the weather that turns it for me.
If it's a really nice day I might pop down - if not just for the excellent grub.

I won't be attending Ace but will be going Beaulieu. Ace is good but the drive to Beaulieu is much more fun.

Depending on timings etc may drop by on the way to Beaulieu ;D

Same here, same here... Always wanted to visit the Ace Café anyway so I might as well make a big gathering weekend of it.

Well everyone....
It's this Saturday.....let's all hope that the weather holds up and that those who intend going have a great day. i think the weather will be th great decider for a lot of people...myself included, but I'll try my best to attend.
Besides, I just adore the 'chilli n cheese on chips' that they serve up !
(The rest of the fare/food that they do is real good stuff as well....)
I'll maybe see any of those that can make it.....and then it'll be off to the next 'big' meet at Beaulieu the next day. Enjoy, everyone....

Well everyone....l braved the weather and went along and was
the first ForFour there !
And yes...it did well n truly 'P' it down.......
However, just after 12:30 the sun popped it's head out...briefly.
In the end 50 Smarts made it to the event. Amazing considering the
weather, but then they did all know how good the 'chow' and beverages
were...so I'll give them that.
ForFour's......4 in total in the end :(
Mine, Boddintons, fudge's, and one I didn't know/get to find/see
the owner of...even though they had a FFCU sticker on the back of their
silver Trid/black panelled motor !
So...not a bad turnout for the ForTwo's and Roadie's all things considered.
Beaulieu tomorrow....and the forecast IS for sunshine...no rain !
I have a feeling that it will be a good day. See ya'll there....

Well, that was me! I was looking for the owner of the blue silver beast but couldn't find them either so I guess that must have been you. I also admit that I spent a lot of time talking to the Roadster gang to get some input on my latest acquisition.
Shame I missed you. It was a bit overwhelming as I didn't know a single person. I'm sure it will be easer next time. Not tomorrow for me though.

Was about 60 smarts by the end and we were in a forfour too.... found rugby traffic on top of a late start!

Have just checked in to my lovely B&B in Lyndhurst. Now chillin out. Had a call from Brulaw on the way here which was a nice surprise! Hi Bru! Really looking forward to tomorrow.

Well, that was me !
I spent quite a bit of time outside in the 'wet stuff' standing next to my
car...and yours....hoping to catch the owners eye. Such is life, eh !
Shame you can't make Beaulieu....but we'll meet up sometime soon. ;)
