Hi All,
Ace Cafe have added the October date to their calendar. It's the 6th which is a Saturday.
Due to the clash with TheSmartFestival, the date is now 10th November...as per amended 'Subject'
Their address is:

Meet starts at 11am.
I am off work which is good!
Hope to see as many of you there as possible...how can you resist the chilli cheese and chips?

A repeat of the info from all the other previous Ace Café meets...
For everyone's info....
Start time - 11:00am
End time - 4:00pm
Parking can be tight...as the meet is shared with ForTwo's and Roadsters.
If you don't intend staying till near the end, then make sure you tell the
'marshalls' so that they can park you where you can get out easily or
without too much hassle.
It's also the same 'recipe' as previous Smart meets at the Café....
Do not bring your own food or drinks...that is part of the agreement
with the management to use this venue....and besides...the food they have available
is 'to die for'....and ALL the food and drinks are great and reasonably priced !
(Just try the Chilli, cheese n chips to see what I mean) They also do real steak beef burgers
and normal steaks etc etc. Good genuine tasty food. With prices that make it hard to choose
what it is that you'll eventually get ya gums round !

Ace Corner is the junction of Beresford Avenue and the old North Circular Road,
between the A40 and the A404 (Harrow Road).
By Road Travelling anti-clockwise on the North Circular Road:
Take the second exit - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights at Brentfields Road
(where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds). Turn right, then right again onto the old
North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left.
Travelling clockwise on the North Circular Road:
Take the first exit after Hanger Lane - signposted for Park Royal - turn left at the traffic
lights immediately right onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left.

MEET IS THIS SATURDAY - 10TH NOVEMBER - FOR THOSE THAT CAN MAKE IT
Lets try to have a really good turn out for this please....
Cancel any lunchtime plans you have and enjoy a really good meal at The Ace Café instead.
I promise, you will not be disappointed at all. And the price is nowhere near what you expect.
Once again a few 'words of wisdom' for all those that attend....
1/ Do not bring your own food and drink...that is a massive no-no.
2/ If you don't intend staying long, tell the 'marshalls' when you arrive so that they
can try to position you so that you can get out without too much problem.
Space is tight at the venue.
3/ Mix and mingle with all the Smart owners, show them that owners of ForFours
are just as passionate about their Smart as they are...even if they're of the opinion
that a ForFour is not a 'genuine' Smart.
(For any that do get 'arsie' or mouthy, you could always say that their cars engine
was based on one from a Mercedes lawnmower....and watch them wince !)
But really, I shouldn't ask you to stoop to their level........oh ok...if you must. LOL
Ufortunately I won't be able to make it as I have to be at work...2pm-10pm, so for those
of you that do go...take some good photos of our prides and joys.....and have a good time.

We're really going to have to make our presence felt with a really good turn out
at the next one in April then....to make up for this let down, eh.

I have been corresponding with Ace about this and the next two are:
Saturday 6th April - 11am - 4pm
Saturday 9th November - 11am - 4pm
Unfortunately we can't always make it. I have had some personal family issues that I have had to deal with over the last couple of months, not to mention working most weekends. Sometimes it is just impossible to attend meets as they are almost always on weekends.
I don't know my work schedule for next year as yet but we will try to make it.

I'm looking at options at work for part-time work, which will free up my weekends and allow me to be a more active attendee of these things. It's not definite (and involves some hefty risks to my future employment) but if/when it happens I hope to meet more of you :)

There was always an April meet...but why has the 2nd one been moved from
it's regular date of October to November ? Have they been told/advised that
the SmartFestival is going to be every October in future, as it was this year ?
Any chance you can ask for us V ?
Mind, it's possibly too late for them to re-schedule it now anyway, what with the
busy schedule they have of 2 to 3 meets.. each and every day of the year.
(Yes they do have a very full 'meet' schedule, as anyone who has attended and
seen their 'fixtures list' or viewed their website will be able to tell you.)
