Sorry Mr Singh about that, I did contact dension and informed them it does not work but they still said it did but as you have said it clearly doesn't. Check the JVC unit but the majority of JVC units are compatible with the accessories that they make.

Just an update, read that the government have decided to vote against switching to DAB in 2015 and the forseeable future due to the high cost of having to replace household and in car FM systems with new DAB systems, plus the coverage of DAB seems to be poor across most of the UK.

In what way is switching to DAB a daft idea ?
DAB had more stations and is much clearer than FM ! I have driven cars with built in DAB radios and have to say I can't knock them !

you dont see people complaining about buying a freeview box or buying cable or sky?
id say its possibly cheaper to buy a something like a pure highway and hard wire it in, rather than buying a new HU altogether!

In some waysn i agree with you....but they stopped makiing the Pure 'Highway' some time ago...so one would have to get it off ebay.
I nearly bought one last year, then had second thoughts. Hearing they've decided to shelve the switch to DAB has saved me a few bob then.  ;D

DAB sucks in my opinion. Most areas are crap for reception and places where I could receive good FM I couldn't receive DAB.

To be honest, I prefer analog TV sometimes, especially when out and about. At least when you can't get a full signal you can get something, even if it looks a little over exposed and grainy.
Not screeches, pops and constant squares across the TV.

I'm glad the government don't want to switch, until a proper countrywide infrastructure is built with decent signal, I don't want to give up FM.
Hell, there are some areas where you can't get FM even now, what does that tell us?

Internet radio is where it as at, doesn't take up much bandwidth, works on a 2G signal (most of the time). DAB does have its uses when the signal is good to strong the sound quality is superb.

Everything evolves when did you last listen to a longwave radio station? lol

Does 'Talk Sport' count on MW ?
We have had customers come back and complain that their radio keeps fading and coming back, only to find that it's on MW... usually 'Talk Sport' !

Thats medium wave ;)

More commonly used than LW, although a majority of radios now only pick up FM primary and AM secondary.

Funny that cos the ForFour radio goes further than just FM and AM. It goes FM, MW, LW and then KW, on mine at least it does  ???
Most radios still go FM, MW, and then LW. from what I've seen anyway.
All you seam to pick up on LW are French stations

There's also the following 'add on' DAB tuners available:
1/ AutoDAB Go  (also incorporates Bluetooth...a very handy 'extra')
2/ Pama Plug & Play universal
3/ the new PURE Highway 300Di   (expensive)
4/ DAB Rola universal
5/ In Phase ProDAB

See them all here...http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/GPS-Audio-InCar-Technology-/3270/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=in+car+dab+radio&_pgn=2&_skc=50&rt=nc

If I was after one I'd choose the AutoDAB Go as not only has it got
Bluetooth (handsfree and/or Mp3 playback from your Smartphone),
but it also has a display so that you can see the station/s.
The DABmotion doesn't have either of those features.

Either way, you pays your money and you makes your choice....
