The S2smarts Racing Brabus ForFour will be racing at the
Donnigton Park circuit on Saturday 30th August. 8)
Rob has said that he will be offering 6 tickets for the event,
but they will only be available to forum members who
must arrive in a ForFour....no Roadsters or ForTwos.
Rob has also arranged it so that the lucky 6 can park their
ForFour's alongside the race car/race truck in the paddock.
Tickets will be available/sent out after this weekend.
So it's first come, first served for the 6 tickets. :P
More may become available IF there is sufficient response.
For those interested, email rob@s2smarts.co.uk giving your name,
your Forum 'name', the registration of the ForFour that you will be
attending with, and your address for the ticket/s.
NOTE:- you must be in a ForFour. No other make or model;
such as a Roadster or ForTwo; will be allowed to enter the
event using these tickets. The tickets will be known to be
for a Smart ForFour, so if you turn up with a ticket in any other
vehicle then you will have to pay the price of a normal non
paddock ticket before being allowed in, and the S2 ticket
will be retained by the organisers official.
(I'll be going...but in the race truck as part of the support team.)

We know that there are quite a few members in the vicinty/area,
or who live not that far away.....
Musmart will be driving for all of 2 hours to 'wave the ForFour flag'
and support the Race ForFour....so what better excuse for a meet, eh ;D

IT IS THE WEEKEND AFTER.....
So you can make all the fuss of the family this weekend,
then have just the one day the following weekend for a
it of your own pleasure/fun and meet some fellow owners
as well as having a great day at the race meet.
So, with 3 tickets to the paddock still available for anyone
arriving in a ForFour, who will be the lucky ones to grab them ?

I'll be going thru the membership in the next day or so....
having a look to see just who is in the vicinity/area and
who could possibly attend...and maybe even letting
everyone know.
The tickets aren't cheap...and it is a good day out (weather
permitting) with lots of races to see and watch, not just the
race/s the ForFour will be in.
They're all part of the Classic Car (magazine) series......

I am surprised these tickets didn't go a LOT quicker. Free tickets, paddock entry, anyone even remotely interested in motor sport would enjoy this. Plus the chance to see the race forfour in action! I'm looking forward to it. ;D

Your not 'in the vicinity' JJ...so you're excused...
But hey...so far I've found a couple 'in the zone' so to speak....

But I'm guessing you've got commitments, which is understandable.
There's plenty more I'm sure...but lots of peops have never bothered
putting their location in their profile (derrr ! ) but who must live not
that far away from Donnington.
But to pass up on some freebies ??? ...oh well.

Any idea what are the start and end times for event?
I've checked out Donnington's website....and also the Classic Cars website
but no info re times on either. All I know is that the S2 'crew' will be going
up Friday late afternoon, and the practice I think is pretty early at about 8am !
Race or races will be later.
BUT......I'll find out from Rob tomorrow and post up as soon as I have any info.

Meeting update re: times etc
Practice for Rob's group at - 11.00
Ticket holders to be there by 9.00 (if possible) or earlier.
Race for Robs group at - 16.00
Lots of other cars and classes to see practice n race.
In all it will be a great day out for those that come.

JJ...a bit of a question has arisen in the camp re your 'APPROVED' thing.
Does that now mean that you have been given permission to attend ?
Or, that you approve of Scoobsook attending or all of us attending ?
Elucidate (posh english there) :-\....in other words explain yourself. ;)

WEATHER NEWS UPDATE
Weather forecast for Donnington on Saturday is possible rain
up to around 07:00 and 12 degrees, then drying and brightening
up to a high of 17 degrees at 16:00 (4pm), which is when the
race that Rob is in is due to start. later the temperature will
trail off to 16 degrees by 19:00 (7pm)..but we'll all be well out
of there before then.

What a day! Big thanks to Tony + S2smarts for having us along and Graham Crazy G for helping to organise.
It was a shame the race forfour had some teething issues with boost in qualifying which meant Rob only got a few laps in.
And in the race, an issue with the gear linkage caused Rob to stop after a few corners on the first lap :( Luckily he got it working again on the side of the track and was allowed to rejoin the race ;D
