Apologies for this slightly late posting, but I myself wasn't
aware of this until Rob mentioned it to me when l popped in.
Anyway...this BBQ event from 10am to 4.30pm.
Free food and non alcoholic drinks. ( Good eh ?)
It's a 'Thank you' to his exisitng customers and a 'Welcome' to any
potentially new customers.
(Other Smart 'indies' are not permitted unless invited by Rob.)
Although this is a bit late notice, this is as an oppurtunity for a
sort of 'mini-meet' for those ForFour owners who live in the London
area who are eager and brave enough to show the other Smartie
owners attending that we are also part of the Smart family.
So...apart from yours truly, who else might manage to come along ?
SatNav location:- WD18 9QP
Unit 2, Vale Industrial Park, Tolpits Lane, Rickmansworth.

Last one was great so will go to this one thanks

Will Tony be doing dyno test slots also?
-
Potentially :)
These are always a great meet...besides the food n soft drinks of course.
'Smartmods' are normally there selling bits too (radio surrounds or earth leads etc - potentially give them a heads up). If anyone wants something specific that Smartmods offer, then my advice is email them to ensure they have them for you at the BBQ, otherwise you will be disappointed. OK ?
Well worth the trip

defiantly worth the trip but I wont be going. we are off to Leicester on Sunday for an evening do plus the fact that I will have done just short of 2500 miles in 4 days after my drive to Germany
-
Ok looks like I will be there as my dad has purchased Evilutions 451 diesel, and I need to look over it and potentially eat my dinner off the underside haha
See you all there then

Well...I arrived just about 11.30, a bit late...but I got there.
I missed Scoobysook by about 10 minutes...good that he came
but he had family arrangements to keep so couldn't stay unfortunately.
Met up with my pal; and co-runner of this forum; JJ and his son Jacob,
which was good, and we had a couple of chats over a coffee n some food.
Couple of other 454 owners were also there....1 of whom signed up
(Power44) that I approved whilst 'on-site' within a few minutes. ;)
To say that I was disappointed...REALLY disappointed at the low
turn out of 454 owners is an understatement, especially as I know for
a fact that there are aboslutely loads of owners in the North London
and surrounding areas not far away from S2smarts.
Such a shame...considering it wasn't a bad day sun and temperature wise,
with some good people there. And such a good place to meet up at...
even more so when there's free food and soft drinks !
There was even the oppurtunity to have your car put on Tune4Performance's
rolling road if you wanted.
A wasted oppurtunity is all I can say to those that could but didn't come.

Was a fab few hours and the food was stunning.
Some lovely cars
Bought a fortwo 451 cdi for my dad
Worth the 4hr round trip
I think we need a mini meet.

I was going to make the trek from my new home "oop north", however, Brabus is off road (at Mastertech) waiting on a new hydraulic pipe to arrive from Germany. Next year... I hope timing might be better and I can coincide it with a service the day before!

I’m sorry but a near 400 mile round trip was just that bit too far. :-X Glad that those who went had a good time. ;)

It was probably the only weekend I couldnt make it- well gutted. I was busy spotting an SB3 a 1.5 and a 1.3 in Montenegro. The 44 would be an ideal car for out there: small easily repairable exterior and enough space for the family. A skoda fabia was the stand in.
