Forfour Forum, moving.....
« on: January 22, 2014, 03:46:04 PM »

I am moving this ForFour website/forum to my hosts system some time
this afternoon or this evening, so there may be some downtime etc while
this move takes place and the DNS re-propagates.

Cheers People :)

UPDATE FROM CRAZYG - THIS IS A GENUINE NOTIFICATION.
OTV IS A WEBMASTER AS WELL AS PART OF THE SMARTMODS 'DUO'.
DO NOT PANIC...NORMAL SERVICE WILL BE RESUMED AS SOON
AS POSSIBLE...SO DO CHECK BACK LATER, AND IF THE SITE IS
DOWN THEN IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE IT IS BACK UP AGAIN.

AND THE REASON FOR THE CHANGE OF WEBISTE/FORUM HOST ?
SIMPLE...ORIGINAL PROVIDER WANTED TO CHARGE 500% MORE !

This post is to bring it up as the latest...for everyone to see
and be aware that we will be going offline today sometime
to move the webiste/forum to a new 'host'.

This post may be repeated...depending on anyone updating/replying
to ANY post, or adding a new post.

Our advice then is this..............
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE OR ADD ANY POSTS  until very late tonight.

Thanks from CrazyG / Problemchild(JJ) / Evil / OTV.

Thanks OTV - this is really appreciated and a necessary move to keep the site "affordable"

And thanks to Evil (aka Kane) for his continued support in the site.

Ok we are back online... with me hosting it now :)

The 'old' site is in maintenance mode, so if anyone gets or says that they get that version its because you/they have 'cached DNS'.  DNS should update within 24hrs, but you can flush your DNS cache by running the command

ipconfig /flushdns     from an administrator control prompt, or the 'run' box (windows users)

Enjoy folks
