When you take into consideration how rare these wheels are, I'd say you did very well , and they do look to be in fantastic condition  .

is say 850 euros for your wheels (with tyres i asume) is a good price, still a good price if it was just for the wheels

Finally on the car today, wearing 205/45R17 tires on all four wheels. I would have loved 225/40 for the rear, but hey, these were all i could find..for now ;D

Tomorrow, a wash :D

Wish me luck avoiding potholes! ???

Lookin good Alex...and I have a feeling they will be a lot stronger and less prone
to flat spotting than the Monoblock VI's.....(mind you, nearly any wheel is stronger then them !)  :o

I'm affraid not, two of them were already egg shaped and they had done very few miles before i bought them... Oval as hell, tech took 1 hour to straighten them, and relieved me of ~50 euros just for that. But...i love them anyway :-*

Shame - but at least they're fixed now!

There's plenty of lovely space between the spokes to show off your brake calipers once you paint them... hint hint ;)

Oooooeeerrrrrr ! !
maybe run the tyres a little under pressure so that they have more 'give'....
or as you said...avoid the potholes.
Shame you can't have a bag or sack of rubble/stones/sand and drop a handful into any that
you see as you are passing...to sort of fill them in for next time !

Genius idea... we should all carry a bag of gravel and an expanding rubber foam to patch any potholes we find.

Yeah, i wonder how orrange would look, so they match my KTM orange Hell brake lines :) and my orange (well brick red) interior.

Non brabus forfours have very small brake discs, just 256mm on the front, and you can barely see them :) But mine are still the original ones, so at over 100K miles, they are a bit rustty as well, so they'll need changing to if I'm going to sport such lovely wheels :)

Great ideea CrazyG,  I'll go on my bike ahead of each trip, fill all the potholes, then come back and take the car :) Might be faster than to drive slow enough to avoid all of them, Romanian roads aren't all that smooth.

I run 2.2 atm. to get a feel of them, they're weight (unfortunately tires are RFT, so v heavy but no need for a spare tire) and how the car handles. Braking distance has INCREASED massively, where as before i would barely touch the pedal to stop from 50kph, now i have to really mash the pedal to stop. Acceleration has suffered also... as will MPG i susspect.

I am now thinking of lightening the flywheel to offset this increased rolling mass..but í think i may just bin these tires and get something softer, lighter, and start carying a spare. No punctures in my life so far, but i would'n want to get one now..

Does make the brake discs look tiny, I noticed on JJ's brabus pics that the rear discs look really small with the 17 inch alloys, maybe time to find some 280mm ones. LOVING THOSE WHEELS!

It never rains but it pours was it? :-\

My latest addition to an unecessary wheel collection.

OZ Racing Ultraleggera in Gold. 17x7, lighter by 0.5-0.7kg than the grandlines. Not much, but with appropriate tires (205/40R17 this time) they will be fantastic and i will regain the "performance" lost with the 205/45R17 on the heavier grandlines. I used qutes so brab owners would not laugh at me because i have a 1.3 and talk about performance:P
