Apologies for this last minute posting, but I myself wasn't
aware of this until 9582djk told me that it was on 'BookFace'
at the Brooklands meeting...and I forgot to post it up then (Doh..! !)
Anyway...Rob is holding this BBQ event from 10am to 4pm.
It's a 'Thank you' to his exisitng customers and a 'Welcome' to any
potentially new customers.
(Other Smart 'indies' are not permitted unless invited by Rob.)
Although this is a bit late notice, this is as an oppurtunity for a
sort of 'mini-meet' for those ForFour owners who live in the London
area who are eager and brave enough to show the other Smartie
owners attending that we are also part of the Smart family.
So...apart from yours truly, who else might manage to come along ?
SatNav location:- WD18 9QP
Unit 2, Vale Industrial Park, Tolpits Lane, Rickmansworth.
-
I should be going but for a quick visit as working the afternoon.
-
could be up for that :)

Count me in be good to have more Forfours than you usually get at meets
-
Should be up for this.
-
So how many of us going to represent the Forfour on Sunday?
-
Hmm, would like to attend but really too far away. :o
-
Convoy? Me and thee?

Convoy? Me and thee?
Why not meet up and then 'car share' ?
Dare I suggest using Brabs economical 1.1 and divi up the fuel cost ?
Just a thought.....
-
For reasons that I won’t go into... much as I’d like to a round trip of approx 450 miles is just too much at the moment. ;)
-
Can understand that Brabs...it was just a suggestion...if you did fancy going. ;)
-
I would have liked to attend too, but it's 200 miles each way so I shan't be doing so regrettably
-
I'd be there but sadly wayyyy too far for me...
-
G'day all, i would also like to be at the Brooklands meeting but its for me a 12000 miles trip each way, so sadly waaaay to far for me......lol.
Greetings,
Eddie.
-
Careful eddie- you would miss by 30 miles or so! It is in Rickmansworth not Brooklands.
Hope that helps the directions!
-
Thanx very much cecil, but i think on that mileage it makes not much difference.
Glad to know its in Rickmansworth and not in Brooklands, but still to far for me, and again thanx for pointing out that error to me.....lol.
Greetings,
Eddie.

Well....it was a lovely day weatherwise...
jmariog arrived first, followed by yours truly then
9582djk, Problemchild and cecil. Shortly thereafter a
black Brab 454 arrived..driven by a non-forum member...hmmm..
but after explaining the 'benefits' we soon cajoled him into joining
once he got home to his computer.
Finally, at 'the last knockings' we were graced with the
presence of none other than musmart !
(he had to come as he had some suitcases that he had to 'offload'
on to me to 'take care of ' for a couple of days)
I think l was the only one who a picture of our cars....
I'll add it later when l get time...
-
A very nice time nice to have so many turning out.
-
Good food (always tastes better when it’s free)
Good company
Good weather
Pass on our thanks as a forum to rob for hosting

was a good day thanks everyone and s2 Smart, so few 454 .?
-
the reason as to why there were so few 454 in attendance is that there aren't as many on the road as the 450/451. most 454s are usually bought by people who need a car who need 'a car' and just that, and don't know the value of owning a unique vehicle, which is why you can pick one up for a couple hundred quid, cos people see it as an ordinary car.
and the ones who understand the value of the 454, are usually family people who have prior commitments, or they live to far to attend southern meets on a regular basis.

Well put Me Singh
-
It’s funny as the Fortwo and Roadster owners avoid us but then to be fair we are all fairly normal unlike some of those owners lol
