I wanted to post something about this on FFO, but have been told I'm not authorised,
and do not have permission....so I'll say it on here as the info will definitely get
back to them. (We have members on here that are also members of FFO).

There' a  post on FFO re an eBay auction item of Smart ForFour Banner/s.....
There were a few Smart banners reportedly stolen from Brooklands 2 years ago !
I'm loathe to bid on them as I wouldn't want to be 'done' for receiving, if they are the ones.

they cant prove they are stolen so cant be done for receiving surely ..?

i've been outbid anyway & the buy it now price offered was ridiculous - i was after both so each forum had one as a little gift from me

to be fair to the guy, and the auctions, i'm not gonna say how much he wanted for both but it was alot

& yes I was after both to give one to crazy G or evil on his stand at brooklands for forfour.co.uk & the other I was gonna give ladyV & fox to keep for forfourowners ... then at whatever meet wherever at least the banner could be shown ..xx

'Officially' I can't ASK anyone not to bid against each other...it is up to each and every one of you to make your
own mind up on that score......and I'm sure it won't just be FFO or FFCU members who can and will bid on them....
after all there are quite a few 'indies' and collectors who would like one or even both of them.
I may still bid....we'll see....

Anyway...it would be nice, if as Baggy suggested. that there could be a banner for both sites,so that either of us could display
it at meetings/whatever....with no 'add ons' to them. (such as .co.uk   or owners.com).  2 at the same time would be cool... 8)
We are all part of the ForFour 'brotherhood' at the end of the day.

UPDATE on those banners/Flags....
If you look carefully you will see why they're being sold off.....
They were never used; and couldn't be used by any Smart or MB dealer; because of a manufacturing error !   ???
Which is...........

The banner/flag has been made with the reinforcement + the loops and clips along the bottom !   :-[ ::)
So...when you try to hang it up, it's upside down !    >:(  Derrrrrr......!  

UPDATE.......
You know what...I am such a 'NUPPTY'......Smart hang em vertically..so there's nowt wrong with em !!!!!
