Title: What's a ForFour worth ?
Post by: CrazyG on November 09, 2010, 11:11:48 PM
Interesting thing I've noticed recently...
On-line Parkers shows a 1.3 Passion circa 2005/6 is worth £3500 (as near as dammit)...

But have a decko on ebay and Autotrader and you'll be hard pushed to find one for under £4000 !

The same applies for every model that I looked at ! So why is it that Parkers (and Glasses) are undervaluing our cars ?

People are obviously realising what good value, and how sensible these little gems of motoring are.
Rarely break down (and if they do they are easily repaired)...overall very reliable....very economical.....
unique.....different.....timeless.....great to drive.... (need I go on ?)

Used 2004/2005 forfour 1.5 auto going for less than RM 55k here in MY. Sigh... bought my 2006 1.5 auto at RM 85k in 2008. :(

Most of them seem to slightly high mileage and they are still being sold for good money !
Look at mine. Was advertised at £4995 with 61,000 miles (at the time) on a 55 plate.
Got him down though ;D

Well I got £3k off my BRAB from Merc - was advertised at £12k at 18months old
and got them down to just over £9k

A car is worth what you are willing to pay for it ;)

Seen a fair few about for less than £3.5k, hence why I am keeping mine as it is only a Pulse - so not worth jack.

Anyways you only use Parkers, Glasses, Whatcar etc as a guide..its only from hunting around...
you find out what people are willing to pay.

PS: Parkers are sh1t on ForFours, it took a year to get them to add the Pulse,
then they removed the Pure when they added the Pulse !
