Which Bulbs?
« on: April 02, 2014, 04:22:27 PM »

Hello,

Which bulbs does the Brabus use, for the main dipped beams.

Also, has anyone tried xenon bulbs? Whats the best type to get.

Thanks.

I would assume they use the same H7 bulbs as the other forfour models.
I wouldn't waste money on osram nightbreakers as i bought these and they didnt even last a year and the light output wasnt much better than the originals.

As for xenons i've not fitted them to mine, i think there is a guide on them in the howto section, you have to be careful as some can melt the wiring and possibly fail the MOT. JJ (problemchild) has some fitted so im sure he can advise you on these.

I bought some Phillips extreme vision ones and they seemed to be better then what was in them before.

PIAA ones are pretty good.

what are you after? just replacement or better.

try looking in the bulb list in the lighting section or in the manual ;)

Hello,

Which bulbs does the Brabus use, for the main dipped beams........

Confusing wording you used there...."main dipped"...
'main' is high beam.......and 'dipped' is low beam.

As for Xenon's...you should use a relay loom specifically for them, or you
could have voltage and/or heat issues.  JJ's set-up uses a relay loom.
If you go down that path, then whoever sells them should also have
the relay loom for a little extra money.

Sorry for the confusion with the terms I have used.

I meant the main driving lights which you turn on at night.

I wanted to get some that give off more of a white light. I have little L.E.Ds  above the rear license plate, I wanted something to match. Any alternatives?

If it's mainly for looks then anything that says "ice white" or "white vision" should be ok.

Or if you wanna get better quality ones look for the PIAA ones on eBay

Changing them is a real pain in the ass though!!

It's unlikely it will look any whiter with standard bulbs from what I have seen. Only the xenons with their choice if colour temps.
