A bad day at the office
« on: July 13, 2017, 07:14:46 PM »

Well today is a real pain. The car was due its major service today so I thought I'd do the spark plugs first. 5 minutes into the job whilst removing the scuttle, my fingers slipped and I lost my 10mm wrench bit down the battery side of the car. Hasn't landed in the road so I can only assume it is stuck somewhere.

Found another one, got the ignition coil off, went to get my long reach spark plug tube and lo, the tube is too long, fouling on the rubber bit which the scuttle covers.

Determined to service something on the car, I went and picked up my new wiper blades. Fronts went on fine, but the rear wiper arm tension fingers cracked, under not much pressure, in getting the old wiper blade off. So now I need a new rear wiper arm.

Fan-bleeding-tastic.  >:(

If the tension arm fingers are the little clips where the rear wiper clips on, i wouldn't worry about them much. Mine are broken since forever, and the wipers stays on and works without issues. I only lost 1 wiper when i left a gas station with it unhinged because i had just cleaned the tailgate to get the road grime off it. When the wiper is down on the glass it's very secure.

Give it a wash tomorrow, you'll feel better, and maintenance can wait a couple of days.
