Hi does any body now the price of a lsd for my brabus
-
You are looking at around £650-700 and that is without
the very necessary new bearings (+£80) preferably Timken,
plus new drive shaft seals.
There are quite a few choices available :-
Quaife QDF38Z...
M-Factory (ask BigBrab for the info on this one)...
ATS Carbon LSD CBFB8710...
Torsen T2 - M-4204-SVTF...
OS Giken - MN023-HA...
Cusco:- these guys offer a choice of 4 ! Don't know which is best..sorry
LSD 440 C RS LSD RS1W(1&1.5W)Z27AGColtVER-R
LSD 440 C15 RS LSD RS1.5W(1&1.5)Z27AGColtVER-R
LSD 440 F RS LSD TYPE-RS Z27AG Colt ver.R 1W
LSD 440 H RS COMPACT LSD RSZ27AG Colt ver.R...
Whichever you choose, ensure that you get the right one ! Obvious really.
(They're usually for - Ford Focus ST170 2002-2004) / BMini Cooper S (2002-2008)
The S2smarts racing Brab uses a Quaife....I have the same in my Brab,
as does Wangswong, and at least 1 other Brab I am aware of.
BigBrab's had the M-Factory...
Oh and finally....LSD's have to be 'pre-loaded'. So check that out as I think
you'll find that you have to leave that to someone who knows what they're
doing...although I'm sure Wangswong may well disagree with me there.

on a side note, seeing as the gear box is off you might as well replace the clutch, release bearing and inspect the flywheel for over heating/damage
-
and uprated clutch and flywheel (if haven't already)

Go for the Sach's Competition clutch...consisting of friction+driven plate.
Then obviously add a new standard release fork + bearing as these are
not part of the clutch kit.
It's cheaper than a paddle clutch, doesn't grab/snatch at all...in fact it
is even lighter than a normal clutch when you depress the pedal.
(I have one in my Brab.) Yet can handle 260+bhp......
(witness that the S2smartsRacing Brabus used that same clutch for
2 full racing seasons without any issue until last November.)
