May be selling my Smart Forfour Diesel 2005 soon - 53,000 miles
« on: September 20, 2018, 12:16:47 AM »

Hi there, I've recently been offered a car from a family member and will be looking at selling my car within the next few months when the time is right for us, I have no idea how much the car is worth as its quite rare now to find one with similar mileage that's also a diesel model so just hoping people can give me an idea?

It's a Grey/Silver Smart Forfour
Diesel engine 95bhp
2005 Reg
Currently 53,340 miles
Very good condition cosmetically, I'm the second owner and have owned this car since mid 2011 (7 years and 1 month)
It's got the full leather interior with heated seats
Also the extra two dial clock and engine temperature add-on on the dashboard
Also includes the original rubber matts and boot cover
It recently failed its MOT last January for the first time ever due to a broken coil spring, had a brand new one fitted since and passed without any issues
Drives really well and gets around 54mpg
Manual
I think it may have the better audio upgrade as the sound is brilliant
Panoramic roof (however you cannot open it)
Electric front windows only

Thanks so much,
Alex

Hello - have you sold your car?

Also if not are you aware that your mileage on the DVLA website jumped to 200k+ following re-test? I’m guessing that is a mistake but it would be worth getting it sorted! I had a similar faff where the garage took the trip reading (including decimal) and the mileage ‘appeared’ to jump from 35k to 65k - MOT station were able to update the data.
