At least the panel gap between the doors is smaller and the door handles or in the same colour.  :)

Information about sound system.

http://www.worldcarfans.com/114071678252/all-new-smart-fortwo-and-forfour-further-revealed-by-harman

So they finally learned that original speakers weren't up to the job? :D

Edit: I hope forum guides get separated in Old F4 and New F4 sections. I doubt the guides will work with new one :D

I LOVE the design of both of them! The interiors look very 'concept' and superb. If they drive well and the prices are right they could indeed have a couple of winners!  ;)

I reckon the proof of the pudding will come when Renault
release their own Twingo....and then it'll all be down to pricing.

That and peops buying a 'known' brand rather than one they've never
taken seriously before, and possibly not too happy to take a chance
on even now.

We shall but see.

The interior is fantastic. Absolutely excellent. As long as the dock/screen works with apple and android, I think success all over.

From some angles, I don't like the front end. It may grow on me but at the moment, I think it looks like it has been run into a wall. I need to see this car in the flesh. I love the rear end, i love it from dead front on. But from some angles it looks like it's been flattened at the front from an impact.

Sometimes, it also looks too much like a stretch.

I too want to see what happens with the Twingo.

I think it'll probably be colour choice sensitive, but i'm looking forward to seeing it this weekend.

I like the interior not so keen on the overall shape, I was reading in the Australian motoring press that its not guaranteed that the fofour will make it down here. Smart only sold 4 cars last month in OZ.

The new Fortwo will sell as it's in a niche market on it's own. This new Forfour I think is like it's predecessor, doomed to failure. The interior is nice, but the exterior just looks a two tone paint job, not like a tridion as we understand it. Last week we went to a mini motorshow in Milton Keynes and my wife homed in straight away on the new Toyota Aygo. It was instant appeal which is what happened to me when I walked past the old Forfour and did a double take. A quick look round and I found myself in the sales office asking for the keys.
Too much competion now in this sector. If anything is attracting me at the moment it's the new Hyundai i10

Autocar claims a Brabus version of both will only sport 110bhp:

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/all-new-smart-fortwo-and-forfour-revealed-exclusive-studio-shots

The ForFour is now basically a 4-seater ForTwo rather than a more grown up Fiesta/Polo rival.  No sign of Mitsubishi launching a new Colt either, the Dutch NedCar plant has been sold and will start building BMW Mini's this year.

It's a shame the number of alternative hot small cars is drying up.  Hyundai is supposed to unveil a hot i20 in a couple of months but I can't see it getting the full 200bhp 1.6 turbo... Detuned to 180bhp wouldn't be bad though ;)
