dad's new forfour
« on: August 25, 2012, 08:42:40 PM »

well, they say everything happens for a reason and i am a believer.

1 week after the "ordeal" in accrington, we started looking at other forfours and came across this one that wasn't on autotrader, pistonheads or ebay but came across it on preloved.

I though my car had a high spec but this one has EVERYTHING ;)

still a 1.3 passion but with the following extras

Electric sunroof
BRAB side skirts
BRAB wheels
BRAB rear valance
BRAB rear spoiler
BRAB exhaust
BRAB suspension
BRAB handbrake, gear knob, pedals
Sat nav
MultiFunction steering wheel
Sound upgrade
Arm rest
Parcel shelf
Rear Screen blind
Bottle holder
Dash net
.....and i think thats it ;)

anyway....some pics!!

there are a few little bits that i need to do for my dad on it like remove the towing system (its been towed by a camper), one of the rear seatbelt units is broken, needs a towing eye cover, needs a new air filter and a good clean so going down to see him on the weekend - wahoo!!

and the good news is he loves it.

when he gets bored, i'm defo gonna consider having it off him.

Nice one like you say"Preloved" must have been for somebody to source all those extras. Nice not too common colour combination as well. Every cloud has a silver lining mate!

Hmm I wonder if that was Jace's, on the smartclub, forfour. He had a very distinctive forfour plus that one has a plate from Ipswich, Suffolk.

Very nice ride there JJ!

its a very nice looking thing... and very well spec'ed but if i were you id keep your brab, youll miss it too much when its gone. i take it you'll get a new front splitter?

the bottle holder looks like its adrift and the gear knob looks like the leather has come off.

its had 5 owners in 7 years, thats 1 owner every 1.4 years. id be asking why its had so many owners. i do hope there is nothing wrong with it, but im sure youll have it checked out by mercedes.
looks like your hard work has payed off!
im a beliver that when its your time, the car will choose you... it sounds strange but its happened with me and my mum all the time.

the trid colour is titainium and it does look well... iv got the same trid on my forfour with 'orange' pannels

iv seen the car as it was in its hay day on maniacs and the brabus front spoiler is really growing on me and is calling me to buy one... dread to think what my dad will say if i do.

afore mentioned pic from "back in the day"

not much has changed but its a shame that the front spoiler has gone walkabout.

dad also wants a new grill from the lower middle section.

i don't know this part as my BRAB doesn't have this. any advice??

going to pick up some bits from the guy breaking the forfour near me and see what they have.

Their names sound familiar to me and I do recognise the car from meets.
