Tyre pressure caps - with monitors
« on: March 31, 2014, 05:01:58 PM »

Ive just bought some tyre valve caps with pressure monitors built in, they may be a worthwhile purchase. They were only £5 for a set

Like these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-x-Car-Tyre-Pressure-Monitor-Valve-Stem-Cap-Sensor-Indicator-Alarm-Eye-Alert-UK-/371006188057?pt=UK_Cars_parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_trims_Valve_Caps_ET&hash=item5661b12a19

Look a nice idea especially with the changing colour, shame they're not exactly aesthetically pleasing though

Those are the bad boys, not sure how much they will stick out but can take some piccies when they arrive :)
I had  a £5 paypal voucher to use up so they didnt cost anything if there crap!

I'm currently testing these cheap ones and some slightly more expensive self adjusting ones.

Mine came today, they seem to work, but do stick out a little - don't know if your can get shorter valves fitted?
Will upload some piccies shortly, however I am annoyed as i've just seen them for £2.15 a set on amazon, deffo worth a punt at that!!

why do you need them dust caps that tell you when your tyre pressure is low... what's wrong with checking your pressures regularly?

A quick glance and you know, instead of going down the garage and putting 20p in  ;)

How often should we be going to the dealer for a free health check? Before every journey? But then what about the journey to the dealership?!? Haha ;)

I have a tyre pressure gauge in my car but I can still tell when the back left is back down to 15psi

I have to re inflate weekly because of the brab alloys ;)
