If you get the Aux lead (from Smartmods preferably) and if you have a Smart phone
(no pun intended there) you can download the free App...  'Tunein Radio'.  You can then
get near enough any radio station from around the world.....digital or FM etc..

stick your reg number into an insurance website like confused.com or something and that should.......should give you the model type. I would say its a pulse with extras as the tridion is black, passion was silver, although i suspect your could have bought a passion with a black tridion if you specified it

The 'default' Tridion colour for a Passion was silver, but many were
produced in Black, as well as the even rarer platinum.  TBH, it was
'as they come' from the factory, others were 'as per customer order'.

Speaking of Smartmods, Would there be any point in buying and fitting the Earth lead kit to a non Brabus?

Apparently these only fit the Brabus. I just got a email from Smartmods.
If I could custom make some to fit my 1.3 would they provide the same benefits as claimed by Brabus owners?

I can't see It making a big if any difference at all. I've certainly never heard of earth leads improving mpg or performance.

It could definately solve any electrical problems (due to poor earthing) you may be experiencing, come to think of it my rear wiper comes on now and again on its own......
As a performance upgrade though I would say probably no.

They do fit the 1.3 ...I fitted them to my softouch. If I remember right they only tried them on the Brabus at the time.

I can't say there was any noticable performance improvement, but the OEM leads are very puny. My thinking was with all the extra electrics on softouch the extra power flow might be of benefit. It's not an expensive upgrade and after having an earth lead smoulder and burn through under another car I didn't consider it wasted money. Maybe there's more benefit with a sophisticated sound system installed..

The 'benefit' of fitting the Smartmods leads are :-
1/ they are of far better quality that the original
2/ the engine to chassis earth lead is sheathed, unlike the
original which usually isn't and therefore 'open to the
elements' ie, corrosion and therefore power loss.
3/ they carry the 'load' far better than the original.

A good example of bad/poor earthing is a car's lights....and we've
all seen brake lights flashing with indicators etc on many cars....
and flickering headlights. Most electrical faults are through bad
earth connections, so fitting these is a good precautionary measure.
But having said that, most owners will not detect much if any change
when fitted, but....some owners have noticed an improvement in
engine response due to better conductivity and better spark/fuel burn.
They will without doubt be a benefit if you fit a more powerful ICE
system.

I think it's a shame they don't do them for the CDI, as I would
have a set immediately.(it appears they've never had an orginal
set to use as a template...)
