sony stereos do it to remind you to remove the face plate....

you always have to find an ignition/switched live with canbus

so what is the beeping??

Mine's Alpine so it's not a Sony-specific thing.

If it is CANBUS related, all I can think is the car is seeing power going to the HU, but not detecting it on CAN, therefore shutting it down?  Seems kinda pointless, especially as you can just hit ON and it comes on again :P

Since I've had the Appradio I've not had this once.  Sometimes though there is a loud single beep, the same as some car alarms make when you disable them, which didn't used to happen.

 :-\

Sorry to open an old thread - but this appears to be the closest one to my query...

So I have had my Brab  for a year now have pretty much understood all the beeps, flashes and creepy crawlies setting off the alarm....until yesterday!

I started the car and there were 3 prolonged beeps coming from around the 'stereo' area - I have never come across it before - I have the standard Radio 5, car and key battery are new and all doors were shut?!

No problem with the car, just never encountered it before and turned the car off again to see if it would do it again and nada... :-\

Like I said  - weird!

Sounds to me like your crazyg sensor is working. Take a good look around you, you're being watched.

CrazyG sensor..... ???   yeah right....

This usually hppens when the sensors have been triggered,
or the alarm has 'gone off'.  Mine does it very occasionally
if I have disabled the interior motion sensor (the level car symboled
push button on the central instrument panel), but not then set the
alarm when I've got out of the car....but as stated...it doesn't always
do that.

 :D

From my experience, it's an incorrectly closed door or boot.
