Hello,  please could I have some suggestions for some good independent garages to service the Smart Forfour in Southampton?

I am trying to avoid both the likes of Kwikfit/Halfords Autocentres and also the main Smart dealer.  One well known VAG garage I asked are really struggling to get me a price since they were having real trouble getting the price of an oil filter, doh.

There's nothing special about the forfour (apart from the brab and it's spark plugs)

Those £99 mot and service places are pretty good

I should provide some additional info, I am not from this area (Southampton) so looking for some suggestions on what garages peeps use to for servicing if they have a Smart (or any car for that matter).

Have a centre based in Romsey just outside Southampton, i've never used them though.

I'm inclined to agree with Problemchild though, anywhere will be able to perform a basic service.
