So, at last had the ARB bushes replaced on my Brab and it is now clunk free over bumps! Yay!!  ;)

I have the ARB bushes (non OEM ones) laying around ready to go!!

Good luck JJ. It would seem that whilst the near side one is very straightforward the off side securing bolts are obscured by the power steering motor and the subframe has to be dropped. Important to aligned correctly (so I was informed) otherwise steering geometry could be awry!

the anti roll bar has nothing to do with steering geometry. its there to limit the amount of 'roll' one gets whilst cornering

Read the post! I know that the ARB is fixed, it is the subframe which needs to be correctly aligned.

when i was under there at s2smarts i thought you could access both from the rear of the subframe.

do the OEM ones come with a split in them??

just re-read and apologies brabs.

iv removed many subframes on X-Type to do clutches and if you get somewhere near you should be ok.

if your just lowering the rear of the subframe then the steering wont move as the front will remain secure.
