« on: October 19, 2015, 12:11:15 PM »

Spotted today first recall for 2nd gen forfour:

Brand: Smart
Model: ForFour (453)
Fault: Front shock
Anti roll bar's link bar attachment point welding might be faulty. This causes car to behave abnormally during cornering. Front shocks will be changed
Cars affected:
Manufactured between 04/2014 - 11/2014

Eek, that is a bit of a problem (perhaps for those who have a enthusiastic driving manner).

I should point out that DVSA in the UK have not done a recall for this specific issue yet but I guess their might one soon...

Scratch that, there does appear to be one for the ForTwo (so I can't see why the ForFour would be any different)

that have gone off the road on a bend and pranged !

its a recall... not a call back.

a call back is what you request a call center to do at a later time  ;D

A 'recall'...short for 'recall notice' to us English/Brit's perhaps....
but elsewhere in the world it may be referred to as a 'callback'...
short for 'callback to the dealers'.

This is because there are differences or inconsistencies between
different languages and countries.
