Further to my post- does everyone agree with the suggestion to meet up after the festival to have some dinner in a local pub? I'll need some ideas of numbers and locations (one suggestion was the pub that we went to last year). If you could let me know as soon as possible, I can start requesting a booking.

PM me or reply on here :)

Yes Yes Yes + 3 for the Table.
Same pub sounds good, with the majority in the end though.

As far as meeting at about 09:00- this is quite an early start, especially for those coming from up north, or in fact anywhere two hours or more from Brooklands...

i worked out id have to set off at about 4am to get there at 9, leaving a margine for roadworks, traffic and rest stops.

That's what we did at our first smartfest (2009) Got there about 8:45 am. Love to get there early, would be strange to actually arrive at 10 if we joined the forfour tube which we will proberly do!

What we did last year was stay at a hotel the night before then drive down at 9, then went to the pub with a few of the forfour gang (the highlight of the day with lots of giggles) then went back to the hotel. This is something I really recommend to anyone who has to travel 4+ hours to get to london/smartfest  :)

You should see me at the York meets, I'm ALWAYS the first one to get there. I like to set off and get there early, I can't stand being late

I'm lucky I can stay at hubbys cousins again like we did last year ..
year before we did it ina day & was cream crackered  when we got home at night.. we set off at 6.30am-  had brekkie at watford gap then spent the full day at Brooklands before getting  back home in sunny North Yorkshure  about 9pm

one day is do-able but like Mr Singh i like to be there nice and early

Plus the quicker we get there the closer to the front we park & everyone after has to walk past our lovely Forfours !!

Hey all, Yep Gab and I will be there and are up for a convoy for sure, as long as you allow our Roadie to be an honourary guest as we'll be taking both cars down this year.

Dinner sounds great too!
Maz (the girl) and Gab (the boy) <- I know there has been some confusion lol !

To save me ploughing through all the posts: can somebody please clarify 'Signing up?'
Do we need to pre-book, or can we just turn up at M-B Brooklands on the day?
We could have three: a Roadster, my Forfour and my son-in-law's Fortwo....

A mini-tube from Tunbridge Wells.....

Thanks for that: I'm not too bothered about the Registration Pack. I'll sort out what the others are doing first, but have marked the calander and will watch for info on the Tesco-car park meeting point!  We'll take a rain-check on the dinner afterwards, thanks, as we've got another daughter living near Guildford where we can cadge dinner and/or a cup of tea! If not Registered, do we have to park hap-hazzard on arrival?

You can see the car park for smart cars on the right hand side. You can see the queue of people to get in!
If you're in a smart, you park in the 'smart parking' area.
