What do you want for it?
Take a look on eBay or autotrader and pitch it where you want
We have a for sale section that you can of course use for free

Hi thanks I'm thinking maybe around 1800 but really I'd like to keep the car but I have nowhere to garage it at the moment, if I was to purchase a new car as planned. Will be sad to see it go but I think I'll try selling it here in the forums as I don't know much about selling cars as this is the only car I have ever owned, is there any reasonable costs places to list a forfour for sale?

Try FB market place
Gumtree
Put a sign in the window
If you wanna pay then pistonheads and autotrader but I wouldn’t recommend paying to advertise a £1500 car

There's always webuyanycar. They admit they will offer less than market value, but it's worth asking to see how close their quote gets. If they're ten or fifteen per cent below what you're hoping to receive, then that may be no worse than you'd accept after haggling anyhow, especially if you have several non-productive viewings, and since you have another car lined up it may be appealing to just get it sorted hassle-free. I once sold a house to a developer, which meant I got quite a bit less than I could have got with a sale directly to a new occupier, but I'd already had an offer accepted on my next house and didn't want to risk losing it by delaying the purchase, so the cut was on balance the better option for me.

Thanks everyone,
It will be sad to see it go after owning it for so long such a great reliable car,
If anyone is interested on this forum please get in touch but I may have to sell to webuyanycar due to advertising costs I think I'll try facebook or gumtree first thanks for the suggestions

Yeah to be fair it is an easy option and ideal for me in my situation at the moment I think I'll try and sell locally myself first there must be a demand for a cheap diesel with lower miles than expected for the age but I will contact we buyanycar with a quote today

I had sold and been paid for my diesel Focus estate(249K miles) on Gumtree within an hour of pressing the post button.

To be perfectly honet, WeBuyAnyCar are con merchants as they are
only freally interested in motors that are no older than 3 years....
as they give the greatest returns as they'll need little if anything
to be doen to them before they sell them on.
Anything older than 3 years is a liablility as it is more or less certain
they'll need some work on...whcih cuts into their profit margin.
If they offer you more than 1/3rd what it is actually worth or what you
think it's worth, then they'll be really struggling. Stick to Gumtree...
Some years back, my daughter had a Fiesta 1.4 Zetec in near perfect
condition...but it was 5 years old. They took one look and offered no
more than £1200 ! I said forget it....stuck it on Gumtree, and sold
it within a week for £2300.
