HELP! Grinding noise whilst reversing.
« on: November 16, 2013, 10:25:53 AM »

Just brought my wife to the dentist. Reversed off the drive and there's a grinding noise from the front drivers side wheel. Only happening whilst reversing and only when its pointing straight / left hand down but only a half turn of the steering wheel. Seems to click (best way to describe the noise) every revolution of the wheel.
Had a quick look under for any loose panels / parts but can't see a thing.
Anyone else experienced this before or any theories?

Sat in the dentist googling still and seems it could be the cv joint. Anyone replaced theirs yet?

What a numpty lol!

Twas indeed the headlight cover. Need to look at a mod so this doesn't happen again (double sided sticky pad maybe)

Double sided sticky pads will be no good for this.
A mod for this already exists in the Exterior HowTo Technical Guides...
