Title: Insurance renewal
Post by: 9582djk on August 14, 2018, 09:53:06 PM
It’s that time of the year again where you have the headache of car insurance. I’m currently with MSM and my renewal is £450 with £100 excess 10 years NCB. I have done the usual comparison sites and the cheapest now is £370 with quotemehappy. Is there any other company I can try or anyone recommend?

i dont even bother looking now, as every year MSM have quoted me happy... even with 4 drivers on my policy

this year i paid just over £600 for myself, wife, mum and dad. although i might have to up the mileage from 10,000 miles a year to unlimited

That seems a lot

Always look (otherwise you will never know it’s the cheapest)

Aviva were yet again the cheapest for me - £60 cash bank for a new policy with quidco

More people should make a policy cheaper

Have tried admiral- but Churchill came in best for me. What is more important is to compare the benefits of each insurance eg breakdown cover. The voluntary and compulsory excess figures need to be added together and are kept apart in order to appear smaller.

£600 isnt bad considering comparison sites were over £950 for 4 drivers... its £1100 for 4 drivers on the C-Max

As I said, number of drivers isn’t the cost driver.

I have 3 on all my cars

Putting my father in law on drops the price for my brab.

£1100 for a cmax is ridiculous tbh
