Came across this on YouTube. Apologies if already been posted somewhere. Some interesting footage of forfours and Colts being produced on the same production line. If you don't speak Russion then turn the sound off!!  ;)

What a fantastic video, i have watched it a few times, and as an ex Tool and Die maker, for me it was realy great to see what they do with the tools like i was involved in making.

G'day Brabs, thanx for your reply,
I have watched a few videos like that and 1 springs to mind is, the making of the ''Trabant'' car (if thats what you could call it), it was for me interesant to watch as they showed the whole proces, from the engine and gearbox to the body work that was made i think with waste products from a woolmill and resin.
Great to see all those things without getting dirty hands....lol.

Indeed. I think that the Trabant was made from resin impregnated cotton waste! Durable and rust proof but virtually impossible to recycle and gave off toxic fumes if burned! Still, it did mobilse thousands of people who didn't have access to anything else.

 Thanx for putting on the site for the Trabant, i realy enjoyed wathing it again, it is just nostalgy as my neighbour in Holland had one and he had a lot of troubles with it and i used to egg him on when he was trying to repair the car.
