Probably one of the parts that aren't common due to body shape.

What my dad did when his seized always to remove exterior nuts and washers then squirt the shaft with wd40 until it started to free up then oiled with 3-in-1 oil

As JJ has said...the parts are quite possibly not the same.
The only wy to know for sure is to remove your motor assembly
and visibly compare it to the assembly from a Colt of the same year.
Check it...from every angle, even measuring if you can....and if it
looks the same, then it possibly will fit.

PS. (even check the wiring colours, and the connectore as well)

If it's only seized, than it's easy to fit. But i didn't use 3-in-1 to lube, but some, don't know the English name, molybdeen grease. The 3-in-1 will be gone sooner. Just pack it up with the grease so water won't stand a change.

Looking at the colt one's i saw on ebay a while ago, i suspect they are different shapes when i was comparing them to my removed one.
Having to bite the bullet and buy one from the Mercedez in the new year, seeing as the car dealer has pulled a flanker on me at present.

Only motor can fit.

glenfoss.....as I had suggested to someone in a previous post when they
had a problem with their seized rear wiper, send an e-mail (not a PM) to Evil
as he has said that he is almost 100% sure that he can do a 'mod' to it and
replace the crumbled shaft part. However, he needs one to work on.
He is a bit of a genius when it comes to modding, so I'd say let him have a try...
and for a fraction of the cost of a new assembly he should be able to refurb yours.
(Whilst it's out/away, plug the hole with a cork or something similar (painted black).

If on the other hand he can't fix it, the most it will have cost you (other than
buying a new unit) is the postage.....knowing Evil and what he can and
has managed to do before, I'd say it's worth a shot.

Email sent CrazyG (possibly even two) although on clicking send it went to Evilutions' summary page and didn't acknowledge it as sent. So hopefully he got it.
Think it was me you suggested this to the other week but teeth problems have got in the way somewhat......long story  :'(

Disappointing afternoon fitting the new wiper motor, only to neglect the fact the 19mm flat nut was completely knackered  >:(. Was unable to source anything similar, seeing as Mercedez didn't have one in stock until Wednesday. So all removed...again....and sealed up until Wednesday / Thursday when it arrives. So close.
Looking at the How to thread, would it be best to dismantle the new motor (asking for trouble surely with something brand new and under some kind of warranty) and do the grease / copper ease inside the sealed unit, at this early stage or would this be one of those jobs that should done in a year or so, before water penetration becomes a bigger factor ?.
Now have a the spare non working motor sat spare in my office if you're interested Evilution.

I am surprised about the 19mm nut.....as I saw one that another member
had bought from MB...that came with a new nut and 'gland/seal' for the glass.
basically a 'complete' replacement.

As for lubing it....give it the guarantee period...a year...then take it out and
do it. It'll be fine till then.

Unfortunately the nut is a separate part all on its lonesome, with the the other three bits coming in their own pack. Bloody useful that isn't it. You can see it on exploded parts drawing that's on one of these threads.

It's useful if you strip the nut but don't want to have to buy the whole wiper unit to replace just the nut  ;)

Fair point fella, just found it unbelievable that i couldn't find a pattern part so rational thinking had gone out of the window at that time.
All done and up and running perfectly. Such an easy job especially having removed it about three times before completing the work.  ;D
